ANYLOAD Team’s Whale Watching Adventure

Our Vancouver team recently enjoyed a thrilling whale watching adventure just off the coast of Vancouver, in the Strait of Georgia. This company event was a wonderful opportunity for team building and appreciating the stunning natural beauty of British Columbia.

The highlight of our trip was the incredible experience of seeing orca whales up close. These majestic creatures, also known as killer whales, can weigh up to 11 tons – for perspective, that’s the equivalent to more than 80 units of our heavy duty FSP floor scales. Orcas can grow up to 32 feet in length, which is longer than a whole section of many truck scales!

Orcas, also known as Killer Whales, are highly social animals, living in complex social structures known as pods, which are led by the oldest female. Known for their sophisticated hunting techniques, orcas are apex predators, meaning they have no natural enemies.

In addition to the orcas, we were also fortunate to spot Steller Sea Lions (which can weigh up to 2,500lbs) lounging on the rocks and bald eagles soaring overhead. The presence of these magnificent birds and marine mammals made our outing truly special.

Orcas, often called the “wolves of the sea,” are renowned for their strength and agility, traits that resonate with our commitment to strength and precision in our products.

Our whale watching trip not only allowed us to witness these fascinating animals in their natural habitat but also served as a reminder of the importance of conservation efforts to protect marine life.
